Craft show season!

Well my husband woke me up before the roosters this morning and asked if i wanted to go fishing. I thought about it for a minute and then he told me he made me breakfast and coffee. I quickly jumped out of bed!!! I decided i wasn’t going to join the boys but i would go hang out with the girls!

This is the first craft show I’ve been to in 2 years thanks to the stupid Corona virus going around 🤣. This was nice. It was in the small town of Birmingham, Ohio and it was all outdoors. My mom, Annalee and i love going to craft shows and this was a great way to kick off the fall season! I only bought a few jewelry pieces but i loved looking at all they had. The moms enjoyed some fresh baked cherry pies that the church ladies made. They had a coffee truck their so i treated my self to a sugar free s’mores iced coffee. Mom bought some candles that smelled amazing and Annalee grabbed a funky looking pumpkin on the way out. We shared lots of laughs and enjoyed spending time together. The boys went fishing and also had a lot of fun!

Small towns, good eats

Chapter 6….

For lunch we ate in the VERY small town of Cedar. Yes the sweet little town with the man in overalls. We ate at the Cedar Tavern. Honestly i think it was the only place to eat, but John saw it on the drive in and wanted to check it out. The inside was rustic and clean. It had a long bar and about a dozen tables. The bar tender and cook were the only 2 people working. There were several other couples eating inside and they all appeared to be locals. The chili was so good! Our lunch hit the spot and we were ready for the next adventure!

For dinner we ate at Dick’s Pour House. This is a bar and grill closer to our cabin. This restaurant was very outdoorsy and John loved it. Our waitress was Roseanne. You know the sitcom? Yep it was her and i loved it. Our food was was really good. John had smelt and he was very excited this was even on the menu!

Small town America!

There is nothing better then small lake towns. Well ok there might be some better things, but to me this is my happiness. I love having Lake Erie right in my backyard. I love the calmness and uniqueness of these small towns that line the coast. In the summer the streets are lined with tourist and locals enjoying restaurants, bars, festivals and of course the lake. In the winter it is quiet and peaceful. Small town America is my happiness. I am and always be just a small town girl and i finally met my small town guy! Today we enjoyed Huron, Ohio from the water!
