Fool’s Spring

Today in northern Ohio we reached almost 60 degrees! My oldest wanted to do some art designs on her night stand, so we took it out to the garage to let her paint. My youngest wanted to dance and twirl to music. The weather was amazing and we fully enjoyed almost the entire day outside. It is also a blessing that it was so nice out because we lost power for almost 3 hours. It seems there was some sort of equipment failure and even the hospital at the corner lost their power. We just continued to play outside and were thankful it came back on just in time to make dinner. The sun is just starting to set now and we are warm inside being teased by the smell of turkey in the Instant Pot!

She is a true artist!
We were getting silly after hours outside!

I felt like i was in a scene from the Lion King!

As i was coaching tonight i couldn’t stop looking out the window. The sunset was breathtaking. I had to pause practice and snap a picture. This is what happens when the coach is also a photographer!

Sometimes you just need to stop what you are doing and take in what Mother Nature has to offer. With all the snow and gray days we have had lately, this was one of those moments. My twirlers loved it also and it was a nice moment!

Things I’ve learned about ice fishing!

* a pink rod is a must….you might not catch more fish but you will look super cute

*a lot of women and children ice fish…..more than i see during the summer

* sharp blades and the correct size blades on an auger make drilling a hole much easier…..also let the boys do that because their shoulders burn the next day 😂

*you must be willing to pee in a bucket

*you are sitting for long periods of time, so bring some snacks!
