A Beautiful ending to 2021!

Today was gorgeous. It was 50° and sunny. Not your typical weather for the end of December in Cleveland Ohio. We of course decided we needed to spend the day outside. After our morning workout we headed to Huron. The public boat launch looked like a summer afternoon! We fished on the pier with our friend, Gene. I was super excited to use my brand new wagon that john got me for Christmas! My dad was doing important year end stuff for work, but during his break they brought Abby for a walk and joined us!!! I was able to take photos while the boys tended to the rods in the lake. I also made lots of four legged friends. We ended up with 2 perch just over 11” each. While John was bleeding out the fish, he also bled himself out 🙄. Thank goodness he married a nanny whose mother is a nurse. We cleaned with some water, put a bandaid on it and then wrapped it with a clean sock! He was good as new, at least enough to get us home. Overall excellent day spent with friends and family.

Time with my girls!

Always an added bonus when i get to spend time with my niece. She was staying at my parents house for the weekend so we got lots of time together. She recently broke her arm but she doesn’t let her slow her down. My parents dog, Abby, loves to be in the action and enjoys us girls staying at the house for the weekend! It was a good balance of fishing with the boys and hanging out with the girls!

Using only one hand and it’s still perfect

Picnic in the park

Is there anything better then a picnic on the shores of Lake Erie? We ordered Berardi’s burgers and fries for carry out and we sat and ate I’m a small park in Huron, Ohio. The weather was perfect and the view was equally as perfect! It was kind of hazy out but i could still see Cedar Point just down the shore line. Won’t be long until those rides will be filled with screaming rollercoaster fanatics.

Abby really enjoyed the park. I believe she smelled every inch of the grass area. She made friends with some small children and she wanted to play with all the dogs that passed. We tried taking her in the lake but she wasn’t to sure about it. As soon as she was in she would high step and run out. To be fair the water was really cold and she’s kind of a princess, so that might have had something to do with it. I guess we will have to try again as the weather gets warmer!

I’ve waited over a year….

Today was the first time in over a year that i was able to hug my father. This meant more to me then anything!

My parents stopped by to say hello and bring us carrot cake. We still aren’t celebrating all together because everyone is not vaccinated but we are getting there!

*sidenote:during this pandemic mom has still given us hugs but dad is more cautious as he has a underlying condition that makes him high risk! We are so thankful for the vaccine!
