Staff Christmas party

I have THE GREATEST job in the entire world. I’m a nanny for the BEST family and I’m so blessed to spend my days with the MOST amazing children! Our Christmas party did not disappoint. The kids made an awesome sign to welcome me. The day started off with magic show. Mom boss wrote me the greatest poem and the oldest read it to me. I could have cried it was so sweet! We exchanged gifts and we ended with some jokes! I just love spending time with all of them. They bring so much joy to my heart and it’s always fun when mom boss doesn’t have to work and can hang out with us! When you love what you do, you won’t work a day in your life!

John’s gift from the family. Props to my boss for the best wrapping job ever. And yes it was a sweater!

Christmas!

Well Christmas was done in two parts this year. First we did Christmas with my family the weekend before. We then celebrated Christmas with John’s family during the afternoon of Christmas day. We did not travel to any families homes for the holiday because Covid is spreading like crazy in Ohio!

John cooked a feast of perch and walleye for my family! We had fries, veggies and dip, chips and dip, and my sister made homemade coleslaw!

Back at the kids table

On Christmas we made a Italian sausage with peppers and onions with marinara sauce in the crop pot. Super easy and super delicious!

Christmas morning Cally FaceTimed us and was excited to tell us Santa AND the tooth fairy came to her house!

It’s beginning to look a lot like Christmas!

Ok so I’m jumping ahead a little bit but on November 14th the snow started to fall. Not much and it didn’t stick around, but it’s a reminder winter is coming.

The third weekend of November my mom, her bestie and i did our annual trip to the Christmas connection at the IX center. It really gets you in the holiday spirit. It’s like a large craft show and it’s so fun to see all the neat things people make!
