Today was the first time we were able to get the girls out on the boat. Our oldest doesn’t love boats but i think she enjoyed it. Our youngest had a blast. It was some fun family time and we look forward to more time out on Lake Erie!
We had fun playing in Vermilion with the girls. Our youngest loves looking for sea glass and skipping rocks. She truly is an outdoorsman like us!
While the boys played on the boat, i played with my youngest and my niece. Wow they kept me busy but we also had a lot of fun! My oldest was with us for a short period of time but she had to work stage crew at the high school all afternoon and evening!
The girls also work hard on making the deviled eggs, potato salad and preparing the watermelon for our cookout!
After we ate i taught the girls how to play tetherball. It was one of my favorite games to play with my classmates!
Then the rope came untied. The girls thought they could fix it themselves but i found a neighbor with a ladder and we fixed it! But it was hilarious watching them try to figure it out themselves
Then……we played tennis. Can you tell why I’m so exhausted!?!
I slowly walked back to the house but oh these two still had more energy!
Today in northern Ohio we reached almost 60 degrees! My oldest wanted to do some art designs on her night stand, so we took it out to the garage to let her paint. My youngest wanted to dance and twirl to music. The weather was amazing and we fully enjoyed almost the entire day outside. It is also a blessing that it was so nice out because we lost power for almost 3 hours. It seems there was some sort of equipment failure and even the hospital at the corner lost their power. We just continued to play outside and were thankful it came back on just in time to make dinner. The sun is just starting to set now and we are warm inside being teased by the smell of turkey in the Instant Pot!
