Beach Break!

The weather outlook for this week is WET! Lots and lots of rain. Seems to be the theme this summer. After the 4 of us ate lunch today we saw there was a few hour break in the weather. We headed to the lake (of course) and walked around looking for seaglass. The girls actually found some pretty great pieces!

We took our yearly beach picture that we have recreated 3 times now!!!

John and i took a photo on the end of the pier where we got engaged!

These crazy kids never listen. The pier literally says no jumping or diving but here they are jumping 😂

On the way home we stopped at the local ice cream shop. The girls and John enjoyed a treat. The only sugar free yogurt option was butter pecan so i passed and made myself a treat later in the day!

The lake brings a sense of calm to my life. Whether I’m on land, on a boat, swimming or laying on the beach, i am at peace!

These first few photos i took from my parents house in Huron. I am so blessed to have access to this gorgeous area!

The next few photos i took while on the boat fishing. There was a poker run passing through Huron and heading to Put-In-Bay. It was really neat to see all the fancy and colorful cigarette boats. It was also very exciting to see the film crew in the helicopter chasing and hovering over them!

While the boys played on the boat, i played with my youngest and my niece. Wow they kept me busy but we also had a lot of fun! My oldest was with us for a short period of time but she had to work stage crew at the high school all afternoon and evening!

The girls also work hard on making the deviled eggs, potato salad and preparing the watermelon for our cookout!

After we ate i taught the girls how to play tetherball. It was one of my favorite games to play with my classmates!

Then the rope came untied. The girls thought they could fix it themselves but i found a neighbor with a ladder and we fixed it! But it was hilarious watching them try to figure it out themselves

Then……we played tennis. Can you tell why I’m so exhausted!?!

I slowly walked back to the house but oh these two still had more energy!
