John and i headed to southern Ohio for the first baton competition in over a year. It isn’t until tomorrow but we thought we would head down a day early and have some fun. We stopped for lunch about half way into our trip. When we were almost to our destination we stopped at the Heart of Ohio Antique Center. Oh it was pretty amazing. So many great memories of our childhood. From soap dishes, to cookie jars, cookware, toys, etc we were transported to the 70’s, 80’s and 90’s of times are our grandparents and great grandparents homes! They also had an abundance of vintage cameras, knives and guns so we were loving it. We walked around for over an hour. I could have bought everything!
Since we are staying in Springfield Ohio we had to grab a quick pick of my nanny moms sorority house at Wittenberg University. It was a beautiful home on the cutest street. It reminded me a lot of New Martinsville, WV where i spent a lot of my childhood at my great grandmothers house!
We ate dinner at Applebee’s, which is right next to our hotel. Now we are just relaxing and enjoying the calm before the storm. Haha kidding i am super excited to see my girls perform tomorrow!!!!
